My Reviews
The very well written, \\\\\\\"Orphan Train\\\\\\\" is an intense fairly quick journey to read. My eyes are still swollen from having been moved so much by experiencing the despair & isolation these children endured. Reading this novel taught me about this 75 year business of \\\\\\\"orphan trains\\\\\\\" that ran from NY to the midwest. It was a heartless auction of human lives that in many cases went from bad to worse. Another stain in our history. I will always remember the two heroic female characters, Vivian & Molly & the parallel pain & suffering they shared in different centuries. I believe that most readers will enjoy learning about the history this novel provides & will be moved by the human perserverance we all share when pushed to extremes.
