Informative, Dramatic, Insightful
A beautiful, yet tragic and brutal story of the lives of Afghani women from the early '70s to current times.This book is surely to raise strong discussions regarding the fate of Islamic women in Afghanistan and how politics and religion shape their future. Opportunities to compare and contrast to other cultures, including the US.
An interesting companion to this book is "Charlie Wilson's War" by George Crile.
