I like the author's prose, and that is where the enjoyment of this book ends. Sadly I am very picky about books I like and don't like. The characters in this series are stagnant. I've read the entire series and not a single inch of growth happens in any of the characters. The main female character's entire existence revolves around her boyfriend, which we all know just makes for such an interesting read. She has no hobbies or interests other than him (such a healthy relationship). Later on in the series her best friend nearly date rapes her (twice) and she takes it as a good thing. Don't even get me started on the 3rd and final book. I also would like to point out, that this series adds to the Cinderella complex that girls are constantly bombarded with.
