My Reviews
The two storylines draw you into a little known period of American history. I enjoyed on of the storylines more than the other, but both were engaging. I was intrigued enough to do reading on the early years of the American government, and it gave me new respect for the founding fathers. Book is recommended.
I found the book disapointing--the cover suggested several conflicts to be worked through, a divorced Christian career woman becoming the 2nd wife of a Muslum man. It did have some strong cultural information, but I think the book could have been stronger.
A compeling tale which keeps you reading and surprised at the ending. One person in the group read the book a year ago and re-reading it found clues she missed the first time around--the book keeps you on your toes.
