This is an excellent book to discuss. The story line is easy to follow and the descriptions McCarthy uses make his postapocolyptic world seem real. Our book club's discussion was vast - ranging from whether or not we liked the characters to how McCarthy's writing affects the storyline and the overall "feel" of the book. Overall, our members felt that reading this book was good for the club because of the discussion it generated. The book itself is dark and has scenes that can be disturbing. Definitely not light-hearted reading.
