A riviting story. At times it seemed that events were fabricated, but in looking at life events that help change a life are constant in our lives. The story is a sad one, but very little about WW II isn't very happy. I gave it 4 stars because I could not understand why the author researching the event acted as she did. I thought it was inconsistent with her character, and a bit contrived.
