An amazing story of survival, based on strong will to live, etc. Informative historical insight into the Pacific War during WWII. Out of 11 members of our book club, four loved the book; some weren't interested in the topic and didn't read it; their loss. I highly recommend this book for book clubs, even though some of our members didn't read it.
