There are so many books about the holocaust and few on this topic. I love to gain new insight on an embarrassing piece of our history.

Little Bee

This book made me very emotional while reading it. The author really pulled me into the story and I was really feeling the characters' emotions. My husband didn't like it as much as I did, however. My daughter, husband and I are in the same book club. It has three members.

Rules of Civility was extremely well written

This is the best book I have read this year and I read one a week. It was hard to put down after such a striking beginning. I felt like I was back in 1938. My vocabulary improved as well. There is a great deal to discuss in this novel for book clubs.
