The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald

Book Club Recommended
Dramatic, Insightful, Interesting
Classic worth reading

Fitzgerald gives us a timeless glimpse into the jazz age to "see" what the American dream portrayed at that time, which is generally the same today. Symbolism is used throughout the book to emphasize and eternalize the story and characters for generations.

Romantic, Fun, Insightful
Not my cup ot tea.....

Although I think that Helen is is a good writter and the topic was appropriate; I think if she would of used another main character, perhaps from a feminine perspective, I would of been more interested. i couldn't finish this book. Major Pettigrew was just too stuffy, depressing and down right unbelievable for me.
