That is why I joined a book club. To read what I normally would never have chosen myself. And of course a night out with friends!
Well Unbroken was one of those I would never have read, but am a better person for it. The beginning I admit, was a bit heavy on the racing statistics, but the time and background history was fantastic. Getting a backgorund view of the Olympics in Germany!
Once I got to the military part of his life I could not put the book down.
It had adventure, intrigue, suspense, strife, love, and just everthing! To know it was a true story made me SO much more thankful for those who serve and have served our country and us.
It also made me much more appreciative of all we have and take so much for granted.
