The "racing" in this book is a metaphor for how to live, told through the perspective of a dog. Enzo's narration is more insightful than any human's would be, because dogs see things as they truly are, without the filters and shellac that we humans use on everything. This book will make you smile & cry. You will probably start talking to your dog a little differently too.
