I'm glad I read this book so that I could make up my own mind about it. I had my expectations set so high that perhaps I set my self up for disappointment. I felt that that characters were a bit one dimesional and cold making it difficult for me to establish a sense of connection with them. For a story that was set around murder and rape I felt it should have been more interwoven throughout more of the book rather than then just explore it in 250 pages.
