My Reviews
We absolutely loved this book for our book club. It was very interesting and sparked one of our best conversations at a book club thus far. It was amazing how each of us had a totally different take or opinion on the exact same scenario in the book. It was full of twists and turns and will make for a great discussion.
Of the 6 of us who read the book none of us were aware of the role the French police played in the Holocaust. It was an eye opening read which takes you on a journey through the eyes of a little girl named Sarah who was taken from Paris to the concentration camps without a clue as to why. The other point of view is from a journalist named Julia who is in present day Paris and uncovers a dark family secret. The book goes between the 2 main characters and the story intertwines both of their lives and changes everything forever.
