I found this book in my mailbox at work. (Someone had loaned it to me to read). I am glad that I did! What a wonderful find! The author does a wonderful job jumping between the two character's voices. I'm not really a fan of historical fiction, but this was different, she somehow managed to write in a way that could connect with the reader. I was finding myself googling the Vel d'Hiv. Just when you think she is wrapping up her storylines, the story takes another turn! I LOVE books like that!
