This was a great book that not only pulls you into the story but also makes you step back and reflect upon your own life and how you have affected others around you without even knowing it. A must read.
Although the book was not quite what I expected and was not a 'could not put down' book, it was an excellent read. It has real meaning and message for everyone who reads it. The book put life in perspective and showed the result of our actions in this life that we often don't think about. The effects on those we may not even know. You must finish the book to get the whole meaning.
I loved the way it made you stop and think of how your actions can affect others.
I thought this book was beautiful. It was simple, no doubt, which could be deemed a criticism, but I think it an asset considering the ease with which it is read and the deep thoughts it invokes in the reader long after the book is set down. A very optimistic view of life and heaven, but one not without it's sad side.
Well worth the read. And a good book for discussion. Just make sure you don't just copy the discussion questions from any website, as some are pretty bad!
ridiculous. Don't bother reading. It is annoying
I was really nauseated by this book. Too obviously sappy. Too obviously trying to play on emotions. What a ridiculous, made-up way to think about heaven. Who wants their life distilled to five relationships? And who decides who these five most important ones are!! Stupid, stupid stupid.
i love the story of this book.. surely, i wil buy another work of albom..
Beautifully written. I have read Mitch Albom for years, in the sports world, but he is very inspiring for everyone who hopes that their life truly meant something; no matter how miniscule they think it may have been.
I thought this book was much better than "Tuesdays With Morrie". I just liked it so much. The story was so intriguing you just had to know more. It is a quick read but it has a profound message and I was so glad I read it.
Our club enjoyed this book. Most of us really liked its simplicity but, a few members found it a little too simplistic. It did lend itself to good discussion.
A quick read. Written a little like a mystery - you don't know until the end how it turns out. Author has a creative imagination of how heaven helps make sense of life on earth. Provokes thought of how your life may affect others in ways you do not know, and possibly discussion along these lines.
