Picoult is a great writer. She always deal with the tough issues and she makes you walk in her characters' shoes.

"A good story but the ending left a lot of loose ends." by djerickson (see profile) 05/20/07

Jodi Pioult always give you something to think about and this book is no exception. I like how the black and white of suicide/murder issues are blurred when you get to know the characters. I would recommend this book for discussion simlpy because of the ethical points that it would bring but I definaitley felt cheated by the end of the book. I wanted more follow-up about how the characters reacted to the verdict and what happen to them a few years down the road-it just left me hanging.

This is a great book to just sit down and get enraptured in. It kept me interested... made me sniffle a bit... and was never dull. Do it.
