A surreal Spanish Romeo-and-Juliet-tale which twists and turns and leads you through a gripping labyrinth which is hard to put down. I absolutely loved it!
The Shadow of the Wind is a dark, gothic, compelling, complex, amazing story. Lots to discuss for a book club.
One of my favorites. Top 5 for sure. The characters are endearing and elusive. Mixed in with all the drama are little snippets of humor that had me laughing out loud on a plane. The storyline gets a little overwhelming and just at the right time, the author clarifies the key players (a chapter in the mid-twenties I believe). I highly highly recommend to all my bookie friends.
