Now, Gin is given an assignment by her handler to rub out an Ashland businessman, but it turns out to be a trap.  A note from the author:

Dear Reader,

Ever since I started reading fantasy books, I've been intrigued by assassin characters and the moral questions they raise. Do some people deserve to die? Does killing someone for money automatically make you a bad person? Does an assassin ever feel guilty about killing? Can assassins ever serve the greater good? These are some ideas I wanted to explore, so I created my own assassin-Gin Blanco, also known as the Spider.

Assassins might not be the most sympathetic characters or the easiest to identify with, but I think they are some of the most fascinating. Gin certainly has her own quirks, powers, problems, and troubled past. Plus, I wanted to write a really strong female character, someone who can rise to any challenge or problem that she's faced with.

I hope you'll check out Gin's story in my new Elemental Assassin urban fantasy book SPIDER'S BITE and see for yourself whether an assassin can ever truly be a hero. Action, danger, magic, and even a little romance-the book has something for everyone.
