There have been quite a few movies produced about the Harlem Renaissance and these make interesting supplements to reading this book. For example, The Josephine Baker Story is one such movie and Halle Berry's film on Dorothy Dandridge is another. More are being produced every year as educators, historians, and directors uncover just how rich in culture and events the period was.
