Introduction

Ken and Kate Martin sell their small company for millions of dollars, but while on a celebratory Hawaiian vacation with their family, they discover that no one in the business world can be trusted, their partner Tim Whalen least of all. Within a year of that fateful trip, their elation at becoming overnight millionaires becomes a suburban nightmare, as one little financial ?hiccup? blossoms to a cascade of hurdles forcing them to reinvent their business lives and start over again against the backdrop of back-stabbing partners, scheming neighbors, and the worse economy since the Great Depression. "THE HICCUP" is a work of fiction.
