Introduction

When Faith is asked to teach at the local school, she eagerly accepts. As the town of LaSalle continues to grow and South Dakota achieves statehood, Faith's life also changes. Her teaching duties at the small schoolhouse bring her continual joy. But it's not until Christmas Eve that she receives a special surprise?an offer of marriage. Faith's Story shares the history and hardship of life in the Dakota Territory and captures the strength and faith of the pioneer spirit.
