Introduction
In 1863, Jonas Barloff survived a fatal gunshot wound at Gettysburg. Upon his return to Mississippi, heinous crimes ensued - and ceased with his death in 1913. Today, exactly 150 years after Gettysburg, the grisly crimes are back and so is a man claiming to be Jonas Barloff. Meanwhile, a suspicious head-on collision claims the life of high school senior, Daniel Townsend. A chance discovery pinpoints Daniel at a crumbling antebellum home – the old Jonas Barloff estate. The house looks uninhabitable. Haunted. Evil. Daniel’s classmates, Marc Livingston and Angela Chadwell, begin to pry. While inspecting the Barloff family cemetery, Marc notices a towering grave marker with a perplexing epitaph. What does the epitaph mean, and who is the old man claiming to be Jonas Barloff? Strange apparitions. Mysterious phantoms. Bloodcurdling séances. Will any of these pieces of the puzzle help Marc and Angela lay the mystery to rest once and for all? Oh, no! Not hardly! Not until they come face-to-face with an evil no one could possibly imagine. Even if they live to tell the story, no one will believe them. Not in a million years.
