Introduction

Dobbit Do weaves a tale that will chill you to the bone. As one reviewer said, "You don't need to understand Dracula to read Dobbit Do, you need to understand Steve Jobs! The technical accuracy of the book is incredible, and the outright creepiness that lies within its pages is a delight for Sci-Fi readers the world over. The story opens with an engineer at the Seattle branch of Nextech, a computer manufacturer, getting an abortion. All of the mental ups and downs are put out on the pages of the book that go with such a decision. Shortly after her "procedure" Kerry begins to receive mystery instant messages on her pager, and at work from someone who calls himself "not." Soon these messages are company wide, and then world wide. Before long is becomes clear that all is not right with the new Operating System, affectionaltly called "Dobbit Do" (pronounced DOE), and Kerry soon teams up with two friends from Austin to exorcise the "Not" from the company's servers. But the "Dobbit" won't be undone so easily and he shows himself to be more than a match for our three cyber excorcists as he twists and turns their world upside down with some new tricks, and some very old ones. Before you reach the last line (which by the way is the surprise ending of all surprise endings) you will definately think twice, no THREE times before accepting your next instant message. Read Dobbit Do at night, curled up in bed with a glass of wine. Do NOT read Dobbit Do if you are faint of heart, and NEVER read it on a computer.
