Introduction
From New York Times bestselling author Sophie Jordan, Uninvited is a chilling and suspenseful story about a girl whose DNA brands her as a killer, perfect for fans of The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer and Confessions of a Murder Suspect.
Davy had everything—a terrific boyfriend, the homecoming crown, a bright future at Juilliard—but when her genetic tests come back positive for Homicidal Tendency Syndrome, she loses it all. Uninvited from her prestigious school and avoided by her friends and family, she is placed in a special class with other "carriers" who are treated like the murderers they someday might become.
Only Sean, a fellow HTS carrier, can relate to her new life and tells her that she alone controls her actions—not the code embedded in her DNA. But even if she can learn to trust him, can Davy trust herself?
Editorial Review
In this Amazon exclusive list, author Sophie Jordan shares her top ten sci-fi movies.
1. Another Earth â?? LOVE this movie! Set in a near future where weâ??ve discovered a duplicate Earth in our solar system. Itâ??s tragic and beautiful. A story about loss and love.
2. A Sound of Thunder â?? Based on my favorite short story from Ray Bradbury. You see just how dangerous time-travel could really be. Not only could it alter the future, but it can wipe out mankind in its entirety. Spooky! And bonus=cutie Edward Burns.
3. Minority Report â?? Um. Identify a criminal before they even commit the crime?!?! Cool concept reminds me a little bit of this book I wrote â?¦ *cough cough*
4. The Fifth Element â?? Gotta love the costuming in this one â?¦ and Mila Jovovichâ??s hair!
5. The Terminator â?? â??I came across time for you, Sarah. I love you. I always have.â?? Sigh.
6. I Am Legend â?? Yes, with shades of zombie and apocalyptic themes, I have much love for this movie set in the near-future â?¦ talk about science/medical research gone awry.
7. Judge Dredd â?? A time-traveling cop heads to the future to hunt a killer? Bring it.
8. Star Trek (the new films): Captain Kirk. Nuff said.
9. Surrogates â?? This one felt eerily possible!
10. Stargate â?? Adventure, suspense, romance! Everything you could want and it was good enough for a TV show spin-off.
