Introduction

Kathryn Krastin is a mother, grandmother, and a long time advocate for the underdogs of society. Having been a survivor of domestic violence herself, she has passion dedicated specifically towards aiding other survivors so that they too can survive, become an advocate themselves, and with the hopes of paying it forward by becoming a mentor towards others. In 2013, she won the YWCA Women of the Year Award for Economic Empowerment and continually strives to take her projects to a new level each year through her work with Domestic Violence Voices, Beyond Words Live!, and other projects she takes under her wings.
