The Nightingale: A Great Summary Of The Book


The Nightingale is an authentic novel by author Kristin Hannah. It recounts the tale of two French sisters, Vianne Mauriac and Isabelle Rossignol, amid the German control of France in World War II.
Fifty years after the end of the war, an as of late widowed lady in a waterfront town in Oregon is get ready to move to a nursing home on the grounds that her malignancy has returned. Her child, a specialist, comes to help her and discovers her in the loft experiencing a trunk of old things he has never seen.
In August of 1939, Britain and France, regardless of having proclaimed war on Germany, have not occupied with any military fights with the German Reich. Pressures are high among the French citizenry as they anticipate the begin of the war. The sufferings of the Great War, and the a huge number of lives lost, are still crisp in their brains.
Vianne Mauriac, wife of Antoine and mother of Sophie, lives in Carriveau, a town in the Loire Valley, in her family home, Le Jardin. Vianne is an instructor at the nearby primary school and Antoine is a postal carrier. Antoine advises her he has been drafted into the armed force. Vianne and Sophie see him off at the train station. Vianne can't force herself to say farewell to Antoine.
After ten months, Vianne's more youthful sister, Isabelle, touches base in Paris in the wake of being ousted from another completing school. Their dad, Julien, declines to permit Isabelle to stay with him at the family flat in Paris. It will be excessively unsafe on the grounds that the Battle of France has started. He sends her to stay with Vianne.
