A special love story for the young and young-at-heart. Springtime and love is in the air, but not for two romantic souls … Consider footloose and fancy-free Buddy Kean, on the outs with his independent-minded girlfriend who throws the collected works of English literature at him before throwing him out of the house. Now consider recently widowed Edith Rose, who intends to close out the last chapter of her long life with as little fuss and as much dignity as possible. Finally throw them together when Edith calls for a taxicab to take her to her new condominium in a quiet retirement community but draws the short straw after Buddy shows up as her cabdriver. What was supposed to be a short trip becomes a 24-hour detour as Edith becomes entangled in the romantic complications of her cabbie. Come along for the ride, but be prepared for fireworks …
