Notes From the Author to the Bookclub

In the early stages of writing this book, my wise editor said, “Jana, you are a teacher. Imagine taking the reader by the hand and leading her along the path of learning what a Red Flag Man is. She does not know. You have much to teach her.” Every woman needs to know what I have to teach her. I have been in her shoes. I have experienced the divorces of my parents, my siblings, three of my daughters and my own relationship. I offer women the knowledge to analyze their relationships and the strength to make wise choices that ultimately lead to hope and peace. Sparing women sorrowful, painful consequences from bad choices with Red Flag Men is my passion.

The mother-daughter approach is new and is much more appealing for women of all ages to read. Such an intimate dialect adds warmth and sensitive understanding to a serious issue. The book's simple yet profound truths evolve realistically and gradually, giving the reader time to digest the issues and to recognize them in her own life or the life of someone she loves.

There are many insights I hope readers will discover in my book including:
