Introduction

The fire department turned it down. The last tenant left over 10 years before. Windows were broken, animals had moved in, gutters were hanging off the eaves, and the roof had big holes. Although it seemed to take forever to happen, the day finally came when we would get inside. We drove out to Sunbury Road during a beautiful Ohio summer day. It was one of those pleasant Ohio days, neither too hot nor too cool. You could either nap in the shade or work in the sun in complete comfort.
