A BIG READ book for our city

Our city library used this book for their BIG READ for the whole city to read, and they planned activities to support the book. Some are the radio programs of the book, a movie showing, discussions of noir fiction, and author discussions.

Does not relate to the 21st century..the slang, the lingo, the, the sexist attitude of men towards women. Shaking my head as I type this.

I, personally, did not like the book at all; it jumped all over the place, and I could not follow it. There are 14 in our book club, and most of them enjoyed the book. Our discussion leader noted all... (read more)
