My Reviews
This book was just okay and because I could not relate to any of the characters, it was difficult for me to get into the book. While the main character wasn\\\'t unlikable, he also was not very likable. As for a book club book, no, there was not anything to discuss.
I hated this book, the only reason I finished, is because it is a book club book, though I regret it, hours of my life that I wish I had back. This book was in desperate need of a good editor, could have been cut in half at least, but it still would have been a terrible book.
Katie Davis gave up her very nice life for a life that helped others who cannot fathom our way of life. She has given herself completely to serve God and the least of his people, with love and compassion and joy. This book is so inspiring and should be required reading in every high school.
This girl had a nice better than average life and complains about every single little thing. Her brother hit her on the head when their dad wasn\\\'t looking, who didn\\\'t that happen to? She had to wait in the cold in the rickshaw waiting for her sister, wah, wah. Maybe I should write a story about my bad childhood, which until now I thought was great, but I suppose I could complain about certain things. Instead I will count my blessings, which is what this woman should do. This book was a waste of time and money.
