My Reviews
Anytime we read a dynamic account of how a woman succeeds in promoting her view of fair justice by living her beliefs we are given a second chance to appreciate what we have today as women and that we need to be vigilant in keeping it..
this book is like a corporation evolving showing how problems can be solved but not much soul or moral values in behavior or dynamic interrelationships and then of course how to fail and have no promising results due to finally problems were not met with thriving results or caring relationships. there is nothing redeeming about the book and the author's idea of beauty and art and love in the very narrow middle section of the stream of life is indeed a rejection of the world at large and any philosophy regarding how we are here to help each other.
Following the story line takes close observation of who is doing what but the author has a charged manor of writing to keep you dangling and wanting to get to the next chapter to explain his characters actions. It is meaningful regarding how people interact when living in closely centered groups or communities and tightly guarding secrets.
the character
clara is the heroine and the author gives her a lot of depth and courage. I definitely wanted to read Beowulf again.
The write wove a slightly complex story of peoples' lives intertwined together with compassion and humor.
