LEARNED A LOT ABOUT THE QUAKERS ROLE IN THE UNDERGROUND RAILROAD.GREAT DESCRIPTIONS OF THAT TIME PERIOD.
Carole Townsend was gracious , charming and funny. It was great to be able to ask her questions about the stories in her book. I had a few laugh out loud moments while reading this book !
It is so nice to read a book that actually challenges the reader to think and re- think all the way through to the end !
This book pulls you in from the start. You don\\\'t want to put it down because you can\\\'t wait to find out what is going to unfold next .
This book was so realistic I kept going on Google to find out what was real and what was fiction. The author combined the two brilliantly . I love when you are so entertained and yet learn about history at the same time.
My second time reading this book and I still love it. How does a former single globe-trotting flight attendant survive when plague hits and she is stuck with her new stepdaughters. This is a superfast , constantly evolving ,great read
Interesting tale .A man goes to prison for a bank fraud and discovers the prison is shared with Leprosy patients. Who knew these places still existed till the 1990's Very eye opening. Had a great discussion .
Romantic tale,l time period W.W.2 . enjoyed the setting with castle, scenic search for Lochness Monster .
