My Reviews
As a group, we thoroughly enjoyed this book! It is historical fiction, and in general, it is one of our favorite genres'. None of us knew anything about Mileva, the main character prior to reading the book and it was eye opening. We had an array of emotions after reading it including being impressed by her and also angered that she seemed to be "swept under the rug" so to speak after dealing with so many obstacles. Particularly interesting timing considering the current increasing support for women with STEM interests and abilities.
This was a great book for us and may also be enjoyed by YA. Some of our teen/tween daughters have also found this book to be interesting and enjoyable as several snatched the copies from us after book club. :)
We gave 4 instead of 5 stars as it would have been nice to see a little on the resources used. They are clearly scant, which the author mentioned but even citing "something" would have been appreciated or it would have been great to see one of the letters exchanged between the Einsteins. Overall a great book and recommended read! Thank you Book Movement!!
