A cautionary and insightful story of relationships and life styles is told in an authentic way, intriguing and well written. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Life Drawing and highly recommend it.
I preferred Fabulation over Intimate Apparel but glad I read them both.
This graphic novel is not only well written but the author’s paintings are beautiful. Old enough to remember the Vietnam Nam war I found the story, written by a Vietnamese woman insightful with information about the war that was new to me. This book is also a real page-turner, I read it in 3/days. Highly recommend.
I was familiar with Edward Curtis’ photographs but had no idea about the history and cultures of Native American Indians that he researched and saved from oblivion. This book is not only about his photography but the struggle and impact on his life that many great artists have experienced, a passion that totally absorbs his him. It is not just about the art, he gives up so much in hopes of saving a culture that is quickly disappearing. Highly recommend,
