Adventurous, Dramatic, Interesting

Old man recounts his experience in the Circus as a youth.

Enjoyable, perhaps a deeper meaning to the ending than I originally thought.

Jezebel: The Untold Story of the Bible's Harlot Queen by Lesley Hazleton

Interesting Historical Non Fiction account of Jezebel.

THis is not a fictional book, but rather a weaving of history and opinion from the Author. OK as a history read if that is what you are expecting, as opposed to fictional representation.

Midwives (Oprah's Book Club) by Chris Bohjalian

Interesting, Informative, Dramatic

This story recounts a series of mistakes that leads to the death of a woman in childbirth. Was the midwife responsible or not? A court trial determines her fate.

Although some of our book club enjoyed the book I found it poorly written and too long. The characters were not well developed and the conclusion was unsatisying.
