Americanah

It was and engaging book, loved the main character\\\'s blog posts. Liked the perspective, thru a diffenent lens from mine, which is always refreshing and informative.

Slow, Gloomy
House of Mirth

I didn't dislike it, but it was slow and depressing to read about this slice of life of the women of rich society and those who wanted to be or stay in the rich society at the turn of the century. I felt sad for the main character, that the life she was brought up to try to attain had such devestating consequences, and her in ability to see another alternative. The majority of the book club did not like or did not finish the book.

Just Mercy: A story of Justice and Redemption

This reads like a thriller, you are anxious for each new revelation or incident to try to understand what and why and how things happened as they did. Compelling and informative look at our American justice system and how things have changed not in ways we would expect.
