My Reviews
I liked it initially.. but became thoroughly disenchanted by the end.. Story is about 200 pages too long.. lost interest in main character abusing himself with drugs.. a long drawn out pity party
this book is fun to read.. loved the jibes at helicopter moms and Microsoft.. read this for sheer entertainment..
I like stories with good endings.. and the author ties up all the loose ends in a nice package.. this story combines the lurid side of movie making, cameos of WW 2, and romantic Italy..
totally awesome read.. little know story of occupation of Channel Isles.. a part of UK off the coast of France.
with pathos and humor
an unflappable chief inspector and small town of quirky characters.. vintage detecting... with all the twists and turns to keep you guessing.. fun for Sherlock and Poirot fans..
amazing tale.. will keep you smiling if not laughing out loud.. what an imagintive story teller.. fantastic life story aka Forrest Gump.. absolutely loved this book .
twisting turning narrative about a doomed relationship.. Amazing Amy truly is amazing!!
waste of time read.. narcissistic account of urban yuppie who has it all but dwells on dark past..
my book club panned this.. only about 3 o4 out of 25 actually liked it.. rest said it was waste of time.. It is a highly imaginative story which strains credibility.. maybe an allegory but lost on most readers..
