A good read for the Alvirah & Willy fans out there. It was a bit short in length. However, it did tie up all the loose ends. This one book focused more on the bad guys and their actions rather than on Alvirah herself and how she came out her sleuthing. I enjoyed all the charachters except Opal. Yeah she was the victim, but for some reason I just didnt click with her. I found myself rooting for her demise. Not much holiday stuff to it, except for it centering around the Rockerfeller Christmas tree. Oh and the ex-wife (sorry wont give any spoilers) really should have been "killed" off.
Anyway I hope you enjoy the book. As I said it is a good read. This is my first time reviewing a book so I hope that you dont mind how I wrote it. Im a novice but I hope to catch on quickly. :)
Ok this book was great. I particularly like all the charachters....ok there's just one I dont like. She's the one that sparks the dynamite before Alvirah blasts everyone away with her sleuthing...as usual!!
Commodore Randolph Weed is so lovable. I couldnt imagine the love that he has in his heart along with his genuine generosity. If he were my uncle I'd love him to death. Sometimes love is blind and we refuse to believe that those that are closest and dearest to us would betray us.
I like that love connections were made for people that seemed genuinely lonely and "afloat" in this river of life. It made me believe in magic. It also made me want to stear clear of any cruises! :)
I would read this book again in a heartbeat! I dont want to let on anymore because I might spoil the fun for you. Please dont hesitate to buy this book. :)
Stephanie plum continues to envoke fits of laughter at the most inopportune time! Im on the train and all of a sudden I break thru the silence with a fit of laughter. She is funny! I find myself almost picturing a Sandra Bullock movie. I cannot wait for the day that they actually do come out with a movie! I love these books because I could relate to the charachters on some level with each of them. The charachters come across as loveable and funy and just basically your next door neighbors.
We should all be like Stephanie's grandmother! Carefree and doesnt care what people think about her. Im in love with Joe Morelli too and Bob the dog! And I thought about getting a hamster like Rex. And let's not talk about Ranger. He invokes fantasies in me....
Ok this is all for now. However before I go please do yourself a favor and either buy the book or RUN to your nearest library and read all the Stephanie Plum books. Then after reading them go buy them. You'll definitely want them for your collection. I know that I do. I have all the Plum books! Yay me! :)
I love the holidays! and this book is just the right mix of everything that I love about the holidays. The lights (or lack thereof), the presents (or lack thereof, the last minute shopping, the hot guy that you want but know you cant have cause you are semi-involved with two other hot guys and yet you keep wanting to put this new guy on your christmas list. yet you know you are afraid to ask santa in case santa is hot too! lol Besides Stephanies been naughty this year.....ALOT.
I just love this book. The only negative is that its too short and Diesel is the "just between" novel guy! I hoope to have Stephanie Novel 1000 if we could contract Janet for that long!
I'll never tire of reading about Stephanie and her zany down to earth family and her love life that you could just sit there and laugh at. I hope she makes a decision, but never in my lifetime! lol :)
It's a great holiday read or anyday of the week/year read. You wont be sorry and you'll definitely be hooked!!
