My Reviews
I love that there's a romance novel filled with bikers! The ride outs are great and realistic. I'm just disappointed I've never met a biker as gorgeous as Dog! ;-)
Well written book featuring a lovely romance.
Ooh... Arthur is born again! A really interesting new spin on the Arthurian legend. Travel into the distant future!
However, it does get quite confusing, with several names for the same thing and it hops around a fair bit. And near the end there's a very weird 'bomb' dropped in from out of nowhere.
That being said, I was gripped. Oh the highs and lows this book drags you through!
Who is good? Who is bad? Who/what is Emrys?
These questions aren't really answered in this book, but I'm sure when you read the next one things will start to become clear.
Firstly, this is not my normal reading material. This book was on a reading club list.
So, having got that out the way... I really liked it!
War is ugly, but instead of skirting around this issue the author carefully shows you the blood, gore and horrors of war (on and off the battlefield).
Not only that, but he also delves into the character's emotions exceedingly well. One death in particular was very emotional.
If anything, I would have liked the story to continue past the finishing point it did, but this is a minor quibble.
A very good story well told. If only we could learn lessons from the harrowing past!
