Crazy Aunt Purl's Drunk, Divorced, and Covered in Cat Hair: The True-Life Misadventures of a 30-Something Who Learned to Knit After He Split by Laurie Perry
Light & funny with serious undertones. Most women can identify with the author.
We loved it - nice change of pace from the dark & heavy war based, sexual abuse, murder, etc that we've read as of late. Perry's message is still serious in nature - her trials are not a joke, but certainly much of them can be identified with by most women. She tells her story in such an irreverant way that we forget her level of true despair. A great, quick read. There was more discussion about this than with "Kite Runner," perhaps because we could relate.
