ChallengingTook some time to get into and other members had difficult starting the book. Certainly will give it another go sometime in the near future. Nice discussion over the background of the book involving the setting and geographic location of the storyline.

Informative, Insightful, Dramatic
RedeploymentCurious as to how it was National Book Award Winner, I now understand why. Reminded me of Forrest Gump with a twist, little more gritty and adventurous throughout life. Autobiographical fiction if I were to put it in a genre. Highly suggestive.
