My Reviews
This book is good for book clubs because of the rich plot. Many characters with their own drama. We were able to discuss quite a bit and the story initiated some deeper topics.
This novel was filled with many interesting layers. The reader is truly part of so much and lives through so much with the characters. Such a great book for a book club because there is so much to discuss. An idea would be to do it in two parts as to do it all in one meeting takes a while. Our book club truly enjoyed the discussions and one topic brought us to another and yet another.
This novel is amusing, but was a little too light for our book club. very little meat and many things left unclear. As a quick, light read, it's fine, but wouldn't suggest it for book clubs that want something that creates discussion.
Our book club overall liked this book, but did find it slow moving at times which dragged the energy down. We would have liked more development of other characters.
Most of our members liked this book, but it is definitely not a crowd pleaser. We had some great discussion about some really interesting topics at our meeting. Some members found it difficult to read because there really are no chapters so you aren't sure when there is a break or shift in the story.
