My Reviews
The book was intense and interesting. Isaacson wrote a superb masterpiece combining science, human nature, and the beginning of a war In Europe. The author brilliantly evoked the relentless and tenacious mind of this timeless Genious. Einstein's elaborate equations applicable to quantum physics and his many experiments such as the Entwurf are only a small token of his brilliant and encompassed contribution to our contemporary World of Physics.
In this incredible voyage, Sir Ernest Shackleton and his crew show a more than human strength in order to survive. Shackleton is a man of great mental power and intelligence, but most of all a man whose integrity and nobility and great self determination makes it possible to save all his man from a frigid death.
I just want to say that this book had such a positive impact in my life. Years back I had read Sir Thomas Moore's Eutopia and it had the same effect on me. This is one of those books that you cannot put down. As I read, I felt transported to the magical world of Shangri-La, where everything is done in moderation and where people can enjoy longevity.
Thanks.
A book of love, vexation, betrayals and romantic illusions. Silas Marner brings the very humanistic traits that leads men to persue and capture what they most desire. Humans are not meant to be alone, sometimes men need to be stroked. Men haunt to have the touch of another.Perhaps a kiss or a glance. In this story a solitary man finds love. An intense treasure-like love.In this case the love of a child. The most beautiful and and innocent type of love known to men.
