Dark, Slow, Interesting
The Goldfinch

What a FANTASTIC book! It was lengthy, but I thought well worth it. She certainly has an excellent command of the English language. And her discussion of other paintings was wonderful. She embellished a bit too much with the drug usage, but I can forgive her on that issue.

The Book Thief

I thought it was cleverly written with Death speaking throughout. I also liked the way the author captured words at the beginning of each chapter - that was great! And I also enjoyed the bold print in and out of various chapters - very good.
