I went into this book thinking I would hate it. I mean, it's about opera right? But the book is much more than that. It's an adventure, a romance, and tale of growth and possibly that comes to a crashing end. While it wasn't my favorite book of the year, I didn't hate it. It was an enjoyable read.

It had me laughing and crying, sometimes in the same chapter. It was very insightful and made me feel differently about the grumpy old people I know. The movie (in Swedish with subtitle) is available at the time of this writing on Amazon Prime. I would highly recommend it to watch after you read the book. It stays very true to the book with only minor omissions and changes.
