Most who finished the book liked the book. Some did not care for the book and didn't finish it. Some liked the mixture of real and fictional characters.
While members were split on whether they liked the book or not, it generated great discussion of the characters and events. It is not an "entertaining" book, but many thought it was worth the read.
Touching story, wonderful character
Opinions were very mixed. Some liked the history and information about the animals, the people, and WWII Poland. Others felt that it was poorly organized and included too much detail that wasn't necessary.
We were split in our opinions. Some really liked it. A few didn't like it at all. While the topics included were serious, using the dog's point of view kept it light and added humor.
