It was very curious that only a few of our members had ever heard of this situation happening in the late 1800's through 1929. The plot was one dimentional and confusing as was the interaction between the main characters. (there are 45 members in this club)Even
Gabrielle Zevin tells a creative, informative, and very likeable story. Her writing style is casual and one wants to keep turning the pages. I liked that the story seems plausible and the characters and the plot continue to evolve in a believable direction towards the end of the book.
I would definitely recommend this Novel.
I liked the story line and a rather quick read. I felt it was a good break from reading the rather intense books the club has previously been reading.
