I understand why this book was ten years from start to finish, and this novel is one that is so easy to enter, even while the concept is, pardon the pun, alien to say the least. Peter Leigh is chosen as a Christian missionary to the world of Oasis, leaving his wife Bea behind on Earth, their only means of communication a type of intergalactic email. This book is an absolute wonder of interaction between an absent husband, an anxious wife, an eager congregation, and a less-than-honest corporation that will stop at nothing to attain it\\\'s goal.
