Very educational and disturbing. What a life we have here in the US!
As always, Conroy has a dark family secret. Made me plan a trip to Charlestown.
It's a nice book. Shows courage. Liked the view told from a dog point.
You might enjoy this on a flight. Light reading.
Great read! I listened to this on audio and couldn't wait everyday to go somewhere! Already have book 2
Totally changed how I look at these young men and women going off to war while we channel surf and play on iPhones.
Enjoyed how the charactors developed and flowed together
Couldn't put it down. Still can't believe humans can be so cruel to each other. Very well written. Moved fast, especially since a true story.
Great book. I loved the development of the characters. The descriptions of the country and relationships were very real. I couldn't wait to get back to the story to read what happened! Ending is sooo good.
Didn't get the point of the book. Nothing seems to connect for me.
I think this is really what Vietnam was like. Shame on us, the government, and miltary for how we treated our children.
story not convincing and didn't work well with being snow child and real.
Written well regarding characters.
Very interesting read, especially the knowledge of slavery in the 60's. Just a book a wouldn't say you just have to read.
I had to force myself to keep reading this book for our meeting. Too silly and no point
